I suggest look at a couple of Photoshop or PSP tutorials where the end result is kind of cool, and show us how it could be done in Ultimate 8.ĭon't just illustrate the layers functionality, but instead, concentrate on a couple of effects that require layers to perform, effects that people might actually want to see in their own photos. You can go a long way towards relieving this confusion by creating 2 or 3 tutorials that show how U8 can do a few cool things. Trying to use tutorials written for other software, is of VERY limited value since invariably, a function that U8 doesn't have gets invoked and we aren't experienced enough to even know if a workaround is possible, let alone what it could be. Right now, The potential users I've encountered either see that U8 layers functionality is limited compared to Photoshop or PaintShop Pro and they aren't ready to give their favorite layering platform up, OR, they see the U8 layering platform as a complex tool they have no hope of using. I think people, in general, are still a bit confused by Ultimate 8.
